The founder of one of the largest food merchants and processing groups in Kuwait, Jassim Al Wazzan comes from a family with a long history in this field. The name AL Wazzan is derived from the Arabic word meaning “to weigh”, In days past fore bearers would greet arriving in dhows in the port and weigh up the imported grains and vegetables to be dispatched to various local merchants. This meant that Al Wazzan family enjoyed a reputation for honesty which has continued to this day.
